KARACHI – Gold prices surged to new all-time highs in Pakistan’s domestic market on Thursday, driven by rising international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,500, reaching a historic Rs277,000. Similarly, the price for 10 grams rose by Rs1,285, settling at Rs237,482.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $12, bringing the rate to $2,647 per ounce.
This follows a similar rise the previous day, when per tola gold jumped by Rs2,500 to Rs275,500, while 10 grams increased by Rs2,144, reaching Rs236,197.
