Google used their doodle feature to pay tribute to the comedy king and legendary TV star and remembers Moin Akhtar on his 71st birthday.
The doodle presents multiple TV screens with some of the notable roles played by Moin Akhtar over the years.
Moin Akhtar has had an amazing year in the entertainment industry of Pakistan and he is by far one of the greatest artists Pakistan has ever produced.
The famous actor was born in Karachi on December 24, 1950. Moin Akhtar first displayed his talents in the theater when he was 16 years old, from here on he went on to gain fame in the television industry on his road to becoming a national star.
Some of his notable TV drama include ‘Intezar Farmaiye’, ‘Rozi’, ‘Aangan Terha’, ‘Studio Dhai’, ‘Bund Road’, ‘Studio Ponay Teen’, ‘Eid Train’, and ‘Yes Sir, No Sir’.
Moin Akhtar was a diverse actor he presented his skills on TV in many languages like English, Sindhi, Pashto, Punjabi, Gujarati, Memon, and Bengali.
His collaborations with comedian Anwar Maqsood and actress Bushra Ansari on unforgettable stage dramas and television shows earned him widespread acclaim.
The Government of Pakistan awarded ‘Pride of Performace’ to Moin Akhtar back in 1996. In 2011, he also received ‘Sitara-i-Imtiaz’ which is the third-highest honor in Pakistan.He died in his home city on 22 April 2011, after experiencing a heart attack. His death was mourned by Pakistani from every corner, even some notable figures from across the border paid their tribute to the legendary entertainment figure Moin Akhtar.
