Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has signed Punjab Immovable Public Property Ordinance 2022. It will curb permanent and temporary encroachments of the province.
According to the ordinance, the officer concerned has to take a decision against the trespasser within the stipulated time. And the powers of civil judges is delegated to the Divisional Commissioners.
Violators will be given a two-day notice twice. Then action will be taken in case of non-appearance before the concerned officer within 14 days.
