The federal government has decided to extend the date for receiving applications under the regular Hajj scheme till Sunday while the date for sponsorship Hajj scheme was extended till April 9th
According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the decision to this effect was made in consideration of the challenges faced by Pakistanis living abroad when mailing their remittances.
According to him, abroad Pakistanis must wire or TT money to the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ dollar account. The applicant or any of his relatives must stay in contact with the relevant bank for the verification and processing of the transferred funds.
The candidate who submits their application under the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme will be deemed successful without a vote, according to the spokesperson.
He added that all the designated banks would be available on Saturdays and Sundays to accept applications for the Hajj.
