The government has made it illegal to wave the national flag with the flag of a political party in Islamabad.
The administration went above and beyond in preparation for August 14th, which is Independence Day. Waving the national flag with the political party’s flag has been prohibited.
Additionally, placing political party flags beside national flags at selling points in Islamabad has been prohibited.
The Islamabad police department has also been told to stop selling vuvuzelas and to rigorously monitor their locations.
Earlier this month, a court magistrate ordered authorities to take action against vendors and users of toy horns (vuvuzelas) on Independence Day, citing noise pollution.
As Independence Day approaches, vuvuzelas hang among other products at market stalls across the country.
Judicial Magistrate-X (Malir) Syed Anwar Ali Shah has taken harsh action under Section 190(c) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) against the usage or sale of vuvuzelas, often known as honking toy horns.
The magistrate further ordered the Sachal and Sharafi Goth SHOs to take strict action against anyone selling or using such toys in violation of the Pakistan Penal Code.
