Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing foreign investment in the Information Technology (IT) sector during the 5th meeting of the Board of Governors of the Special Technology Zones Authority.
Prime Minister Kakar urged the relevant authorities to formulate policies to attract international IT experts to Pakistan, recognizing the sector’s significant potential for bolstering the country’s economy.
The meeting addressed various issues related to the Special Technology Zones Authority, endorsing decisions from the previous meeting and approving the restructuring of committees.
Additionally, drafts of the Authority’s licensing framework and regulations were approved for presentation before the technical committee.
The meeting was attended by federal secretaries, chief secretaries of provinces, and other board members.
