The federal government has agreed to give free flour to deserving families ahead of Ramadan.
The decision was taken during a meeting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over. The premier said that starting on March 18, free flour would be distributed to 185,000 needy families in Islamabad from 40 locations set up at the government-owned Utility Store Corporation (USC). The Benazir Income Support Programme will be used to gather information on deserving families.
According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government is working to help the lower and middle classes. He also gave the appropriate authorities instructions to set up everything necessary to help the citizens avoid standing in large lines.
The federal government would provide free wheat to 15,800,000 needy families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab overall (KP).
Balochistan’s inhabitants would also receive flour at lower costs through 50 Ramadan bazaars.
