Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced Pakistan’s first media university will be built in a vacant building in Islamabad that has been vacant for the past eight years.
He further added that the government will send professors from a well-known British university and system to Pakistan.
The minister also said that the construction, which cost millions of dollars to construct, will include a five-star hotel. The 52-room hotel will be operated as a public-private partnership, according to Chaudhry.
Moreover, he stated that the decision was made to integrate all new technology being taught around the world at the university. He added that animation, sound, and lighting will be taught for the first time in Pakistan and that the media university will become the best university in the South Asia region.
