The government will introduce a smart housing scheme to facilitate the nine million overseas Pakistanis. Said Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib.
He was talking to Pakistan TeleVision, saying:
“The federal cabinet has given approval for launching the state-of-the-art residential projects for Overseas Pakistanis.”
He also said:
“Pakistani expatriates may purchase the apartments through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA).”
Terming Overseas Pakistanis as the country’s great asset, he further said:
“They are sending $30 billion in remittances annually through RDA, which show their full trust in the leadership of PM.“
Commenting on the voting rights given to overseas Pakistanis, he said:
“It is the first time that any government recognized the services and is launching a smart housing scheme for the overseas Pakistanis.”
