The new Gwadar International airport will be officially opened on March 23, 2023, according to the secretary of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The project was officially launched in March 2019.
He made this statement on Monday in Islamabad while before the NA Standing Committee on Civil Aviation. The non-developmental budget for the airport in Gwadar is Rs190 million, according to the CAA secretary.
The NGIA is expected to cost $230 million, and funding is being provided for the project by the Chinese government.
The ATR 72, Airbus A-300, Boeing 737, and Boeing 747 will all be able to land at the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) for both internal and international flights.
According to the source, the Chinese side has not yet responded about the project’s completion by March of next year. Pakistan wants the airport to be opened while the coalition government is in power.
