The singer and performer expressed her disappointment with the lack of nominations for her well-received first drama.
Hadiqa Kiani, a singer, recently took to Instagram to openly discuss the obvious absence of entries for her play Raqeeb Se at the Lux Style Awards 2021, stating she understood the choice.
Kiani made her television debut in the series Raqeeb Se, with notable stars like Naumaan Ijaz, Sania Saeed, and Iqra Aziz. Bee Gul wrote the drama, Kashif Nisar directed it, and Momina Duraid produced it for Hum TV.
The nominees for the Lux Style Awards in music, fashion, and television were just revealed. Kiani explained to her fans in a statement that her drama was not nominated for the LSAs for a legitimate reason.
“I’ve had so many words of love and support for Sakina and Raqeeb Se today,” she said, “but there’s something that needs to be explained.” “Raqeeb Se did not qualify for this year’s Lux Style Awards, however depending on the Lux Style Awards’ year policy, it may qualify for nominations next year.” So, until then, let us have our pitchforks at the ready.
“Congratulations to all nominated,” Kiani concluded.
Raqeeb Se had been a passion project for Kiani that had proven to be a fantastic experience. In a recent interview with Images, the ‘Boohey Barian’ singer discussed how she came to prepare for the venture.
“It was a whole new world for me, but Nauman told me, ‘You will have to negate your thoughts, yourself, and your personality, and you will have to become that role.’ You will be loyal to your character if you do this.’ I believe his counsel will stick with me for the rest of my life “She’d stated.
The drama, which was well-received by both fans and reviewers, focused on the narrative of Sakina, played by Kiani, who escapes her violent husband with her kid and seeks safety at the house of her old lover.
