The live translation of the Arafat Day sermon, one of the most important events on the Islamic calendar, has been expanded to include 20 languages as Saudi Arabia’s leadership attempts to reach the broadest possible audience with a message of moderation and tolerance.
It will be one of the agency’s most essential jobs under the ownership of the two Holy Mosques Translation Project.
Ahmed Al-Hamidi, Deputy General President for Languages and Translation, stated that the translation was in line with the Agency’s 2024 strategic plan.
French, English, Persian, Urdu, Hausa, Russian, Turkish, Punjabi, Chinese, Malay, Swahili, Spanish, Portuguese, Amharic, German, Swedish, Italian, Malayalam, Bosnian, and Filipino are among the languages to be translated.
The Hajj sermon will be aired on the Manarat Al-Haramain internet platform, The Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet channels, and 10 FM radio stations.
