The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced 75 National Top Talent Scholarships Programme for Pakistani students to take admission to MS and Ph.D. studies abroad.
The government of Pakistan has reportedly announced 40 Ph.D. and 35 MS scholarships for citizens of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to attend the top 25 universities in the world, as determined by the QS or Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings.
The sources informed us that the scholarships will be awarded on the provision of proof of confirmed admission to desired universities and selected subjects only.
According to the inclusion criteria, the applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan or Azad Kashmir. The candidates must be enrolled in a subject at one of the 25 best institutions in the world according to QS/THE with a confirmed/unconditional admission. For MS Scholarships, the minimum qualification is a BS/BE/degree, master or the equivalent of 16 years of education in a relevant field of study. For Ph.D. For scholarships, the minimum requirement is an MS/MPhil/ME degree, or the equivalent of 18 years of education in a relevant field of study.
The candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 & 3.75 out of 5.0 in the semester system or 1 Division (in the annual system) in the terminal degree. The maximum age on the closure date should be 35 years for everyone else and 40 years for full-time regular faculty members of public sector universities, degree-awarding institutions, and colleges. The applicants must not be receiving any other financial aid.

It is important to note that the scholarships will be given out in order of application.
The candidates are required to fulfill the requirement of the host university to secure admission which may include international GRE, TOEFL, etc. They are advised to appear in these tests. Conditional admission/enrolment will not be considered.
Moreover, the HEC has opened applications for the IPFP Phase-Il Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs program in all subject areas and disciplines (Batch-IV). Prior to their official entry into the academic job market, the HEC launched the IPFP program to provide new PhDs with the opportunity to gain academic experience and mentorship for a year in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and federal/provincial government graduate colleges.
