The newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has unveiled various transport projects and initiatives in the province, with one notable program being the provision of E-Bikes to students through easy installment plans.
Scheme Details:
CM Maryam Nawaz’s E-Bikes scheme aims to distribute 20,000 electric bikes to students at favorable installment terms and a minimal interest rate. The Bank of Punjab will extend soft loans to students, facilitating their participation in this initiative.
Application Procedure:
The online application process for the Electric Bike scheme is set to commence in the upcoming months. The program is specifically designed for students in schools and colleges, allowing them to acquire electric bikes through convenient installment plans with a low-interest rate.
The initial phase of the scheme will be rolled out in major cities such as Lahore, Multan, and Faisalabad, with future plans to extend its reach to smaller cities within Punjab. To ensure the scheme’s success and efficiency, separate quotas will be allocated for male and female students, and the approval process for student applications will be carefully managed.
For those interested in participating, applications can be submitted for approval on the government platform starting in May this year. The scheme presents a progressive step towards enhancing student mobility and sustainable transportation in Punjab.
