Hundreds of Passengers Await Departure Amid Ongoing Flight Uncertainty
A private airline’s flight from Jeddah to Karachi has faced an unprecedented delay of three days, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at Jeddah Airport and nearby hotels.
Originally scheduled to depart at 3:20 AM on March 19, the flight has been repeatedly rescheduled, causing significant distress among travelers. Many of the affected passengers include elderly individuals and women who are desperately awaiting their return to Pakistan.
Passengers Endure Long Wait Amidst Uncertainty
Despite assurances from the airline, passengers continue to experience prolonged waiting periods with no clear timeline for departure. Multiple revised schedules have been issued over the past three days, but none have materialized into an actual departure.
“We have been stuck here for days without clear information on when we can return home. It has been exhausting,” said one passenger.
Additional Flights Planned to Resolve Crisis
According to sources, six additional flights have been scheduled within the next 24 to 36 hours to accommodate the stranded passengers. The airline’s spokesperson confirmed that once these flights operate, all affected travelers in Jeddah will be transported back to Pakistan.
Authorities have yet to comment on whether any regulatory action will be taken against the airline for this significant disruption.
