Ibraheem Gill, Rashid Bachani lift National Tennis U12 doubles title

The U12 doubles championship was won by Muhammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill and Rashid Bachani during the 20th KC Westbury National Tennis Championship at Karachi Club.

Ibrahim Gill/Rashid Bachani won the U12 doubles final 4-1, 4-1 over Rohan Das and Arsh Imran. They defeated Abdbaker Admani/Aidh Imran 5-4, 5-3 in the semifinals, while Rohan Das/Arsh Imran defeated Aahil Imran/Meer Abbas 4-1, 0-4, 5-3. Mahathir Muhammad defeated Raahim Veqar 6-3, 6-1 in the U18 singles semis, while M Salar defeated Ejaz Abbasi 6-4, 6-1. Natalia Zaman defeated Inaya Sayyed 6-4, 6-2 in the girls U18 singles quarterfinals, followed by Haya Qureshi w/o Latifa Fatani.

In boys U14 singles quarters, Ismail Aftab beat Nibras Malik 4-0, 4-0, Muzammil Bhand beat Laraib Shamsi 4-1, 4-2. In boy’s U14 singles semis, Ali Bachani beat Ismail Aftab 4-1, Muzammil Bhand beat Haziq Areejo 5-3, 4-1.  

In girls U14 singles semis, Eschelle Asif beat Eshal Zain 4-2, 4-2. In U12 singles semis, Rashid Bachani beat Arsh Imran 4-2, 4-2, and Abdul Malik beat Meer Abbas 5-4, 4-1. In U10 singles semis, Rashid Bachani beat Arsh Imran 4-0, 4-2. In U8 singles final, Azan Imran beat Dua Yousuf 10-6, 10-4. 

Muhammad Salar and Mahatir Muhammad won the U18 doubles final 8-5 over Ahsan Ahmed and Kashan Tariq. Laraib Shamsi and Abdullah Razzaq won the U14 doubles semi-finals 2-4, 4-1, 4-1. In the men’s singles quarterfinals, Mahateer Muhammad Farhan Mustafa defeated Ibrahim Iltifat 9-7, and Zubair Raja defeated Ibrahim Iltifat 8-2. Hasheesh Kumar defeated Omer Shahid 8-4 in the men’s singles semi-finals.

Farhan Mustafa and Omer Shahid defeated Ibrahim Iltifat and Bilal Soomro 8-4 in the men’s doubles quarterfinals, while Haris Tariq and Danish Hidayat defeated Nameer Shamsi and Baqir Hussain. Razi Nawab and Muhammad Abdul Saeed won the 45+ doubles final 8-5 over Imran Dewaney and Irfan Elahi. Razi Nawab and Muhammad Abdul Saeed defeated Javed Iqbal and Zafar Hasan in the 55+ doubles final.
