The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have launched a Mounted Patrol Unit to increase patrolling and ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
The new unit will patrol on horses in areas where other units cannot go, such as parks, hiking trails, dirt roads, mountains, and treacherous terrains.
The Mounted Patrol Unit will play an important role in maintaining security in Islamabad and projecting a positive image of the eICT Police Force among residents.
This follows the launch of different patrol units such as the Eagle Patrol Unit, Falcon Patrol Unit, Bicycle Patrol Unit, and Air Patrol Unit to increase patrolling in the city.
In October of last year, the Air Patrol Unit was launched. This unit is equipped with state-of-the-art drones and locators.
The Eagle Squad Unit, which consists of motorcycles, was launched in April of last year to guard the markets and narrow streets of Islamabad. The Falcon Patrol Unit, which consists of cars, was launched in May of last year.
