Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer for India, expressed his disgust after Suyash Sharma, a spinner for the Kolkata Knight Riders, attempted to stop Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal from scoring a century during an IPL 2023 match.
At the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Jaiswal’s undefeated 98* from 47 balls enabled Rajasthan Royals to secure a crucial two points.

The hitter was on his way to scoring his second century of the year after breaking the IPL record for quickest half-century.
Suyash’s wide delivery with only four runs needed prevented Jaiswal from reaching his century, however.
Suyash was criticized by Aakash on Twitter for having “poor taste.” He also gave an illustration of how people might respond if a Pakistani bowler had struck Virat Kohli in the same way.
“Trying to bowl a wide to prevent Yashasvi from getting to his 100….poor taste IMHO,” Aakash tweeted.
“Imagine a Pakistan bowler doing that to prevent Kohli from getting to his century. The same people who are giving Gyan on how it’s absolutely okay…and that it wasn’t deliberate…will ensure that that bowler starts trending in minutes. Trolling level hi alag hota tab. Typical Twitter behavior IMO,” he added.
In just 13 balls on Thursday, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the quickest 50 in Indian Premier League history as Rajasthan Royals thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by nine wickets.
Jaiswal broke the previous record of 14 balls, which was shared by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins, on his way to his 50 in front of an astonished Eden Gardens.
