ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan stated on Tuesday that the country’s inflation has risen since ‘corrupts’ were brought into power.
Imran Khan told a group of lawyers outside his Bana Gala residence that his government had resisted the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from raising fuel and electricity prices, but that the ‘imported government’ had bowed down and accepted every demand of the fund.
During my government’s tenure, the economy was on the right track, growing at a 5.6 percent annual rate, he said, regretting that Moody’s had now downgraded Pakistan’s credit rating to negative.
The former prime minister claimed his government was deposed as a result of a “foreign conspiracy,” and the threatening letter received from the US was shared with the NSC, Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, and others.
“Dacoits were imposed on the country,” he said, adding that Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza should have been punished for money laundering.
In response to BJP leader Imran Khan’s derogatory remarks, Imran Khan urged Pakistan’s government to record strong protests with India on the issue, as Arab countries are doing.
Imran Khan urged the incumbent government to cut ties and declare a boycott of Indian-made goods. Calling Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, an alleged killer, Imran Khan said the government wants to arrest him in any case.
He asked the masses to be ready for the ‘Haqiqi Azadi’.
