Inter-City Transportation banned in 15 Districts in Punjab.

Due to an increase in Coronavirus infections, the provincial administration has prohibited inter-city public transportation in 15 districts of Punjab.

The Department of Transport has written letters to the Deputy Commissioners, Secretary DRTA, and Assistant Commissioners of 15 districts, informing them that inter-city public transportation would be prohibited from September 4 to September 12.

Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sialkot, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khanewal, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan are among the prohibited districts.

It’s worth noting that over the last 24 hours, more than 61 coronavirus deaths have been reported across the country, with over 3,000 people testing positive.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 61 people died in the previous 24 hours, bringing the overall number of coronavirus deaths to 26,175.

According to the NCOC, 3,747 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the previous 24 hours, increasing the total number of infections in the country to 1,179,305.

The overall number of coronavirus patients in the country has risen to 1,060,881.

According to the NCOC, 57,908 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, with a total of 18,053,326 tests performed.

The country’s positive rate was 6.47 percent, with 5,506 coronavirus patients in 631 hospitals throughout the country in serious condition.
