Sustainable waste management is one of the key aspects of modern waste management solutions. This year’s theme for the International Day of Zero Waste is “Towards zero waste in fashion and textiles.” The theme focuses on the urgency of taking action to reduce waste from the fashion and textile sector.
Dr. Musadik Malik, the Minister for Climate Change, called the nation to unite for addressing the critical challenge. Furthermore, Pakistan is committed to tackling such hurdles through comprehensive policies revolving around sustainability, said the minister in his message for the International Zero Waste Day.
During his message, he highlighted the importance of zero-waste practices from the private sector as well. He reassured the government’s commitment to transitioning to a circular economy from a linear one. As a result, waste is minimized, and resources are stored for later use for as long as possible.
