On Monday, a global conference on “Climate Resilient Pakistan” is taking place in Geneva.
Along with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is in Geneva to co-chair an international meeting on a “Climate Resilient Pakistan.”
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman, and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb are in the company of the Prime Minister.
Pakistan will provide a framework vision for the conference that emphasizes the necessity for international cooperation and long-term partnerships in order to achieve the rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood-affected areas.
A joint press stakeout will be held by the UN Secretary-General and the Prime Minister.
Leaders and high-level representatives from several countries and international financial institutions, foundations, and funds are expected to attend the conference, both in person and in virtual format.
