International Women’s Day is being celebrated across the world including Pakistan today to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

The importance of empowering women for societal advancement has been stressed by President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
They encouraged the active involvement of women in all spheres of life in their respective statements on International Women’s Day.
Pakistan needs to improve women’s access to technology and digital literacy programmes, especially in rural regions, according to President Dr. Arif Alvi.
In addition to giving them access to laptops, the internet, and other digital tools, he suggested that we should encourage more women to work in the STEM fields.
FM Bilawal calls for monitoring crimes against women
According to Dr. Arif Alvi, in order to help women become financially independent, it is essential to offer them resources and support.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that International Women’s Day is a time to honour the important part that women play in society and their contributions to the advancement of civilization.
He claimed that history has shown that women must play a positive role in order for human society to advance.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, our religion, Islam, gave women equal rights over 1,400 years ago.
The Prime Minister stressed that the entire society had to work together to ensure more empowerment, protection, and fair rights for women.
