The Safe City Pukar -15 helpline in the federal capital’s capital has been the target of a crackdown by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police. The ICT Police has pending about 13 persons in the capital area and accused them of making fictitious calls to the helpline, according to the facts.
ICT Police announced on Twitter that it would take strong legal action against anyone found guilty of abusing the emergency number.
Separately, after receiving formal approval from the Prime Minister (PM), Shehbaz Sharif, the Regulation Wing of the Finance Division issued a notification to increase the pay of the ICT Police.
Both PM Sharif and Rana Sanaullah, the Federal Minister of Interior, complimented the ICT Police officers in this regard. The change happened as a result of the department’s desire for an increase, which led Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad, to send the situation to the appropriate authorities.
The ICT Police Department tirelessly carries out its responsibilities to maintain law and order in Islamabad and protects citizens’ lives and property by battling criminals, according to IGP Khan, who thanked the Prime Minister and Interior Minister for accommodating the department’s requests.
