In a significant development for the former prime minister, on Wednesday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) acquitted Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), in the Avenfield reference case.
Additionally, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) withdrew the PML-N supreme leader’s acquittal in the Flagship reference.
Speaking to reporters outside the court after this significant legal victory, Nawaz Sharif, a three-time prime minister with aspirations for a fourth term in the upcoming general elections, remarked, “I had left it up to Allah. In Al-Azizia [reference] also, I’ve also left my matters up to Allah.”
