The establishment of a mass vaccination centre is ready to vaccinate at least 4000 people a day in Islamabad. The centre has been set up at the Isolation Hospital and Infections Treatment Centre where vaccinations will begin next week.
According to the Islamabad officials 548 people have been reported as a COVID-19 positive on Thursday along with one death. Earlier the COVID-19 positive rate was 10.2pc. While a male patient whose age was around 90 years and residing in Bhara Kahu passed away, while no death was reported in Rawalpindi.
District Health Officer Dr. Zaeem Zia told media officials that 15 vaccination centres were currently operating in the capital. The healthcare workers and the individuals above age 60 years have been served with the vaccine of 132,104 elderly people, DHO confirmed.
