A new batch of 22 electric buses arrived in Islamabad, adding to the initial 8, bringing the total fleet to 30. These buses are part of a larger order of 160 vehicles aimed at revolutionizing public transportation in the city.
To support the new fleet, a charging point has been established at the Jinnah Convention Center. Initially, the 30 buses will operate on two routes, providing convenient and modern transportation services to residents.
Route 1: NUST Orange Line Depot (G-11) to PIMS Hospital, with 13 stops and a frequency of every 10 minutes.
Route 2: PIMS to Bari Imam, passing through various key locations, including G-7, G-6, Melody, Abpara, and Diplomatic Enclave.
The bus service will operate from 6 AM to 10 PM, with plans to provide subsidies to deserving individuals, including disabled persons, students, and others, as instructed by the Chairman of CDA.
These electric buses promise to offer high-standard travel facilities, enhancing the overall transportation experience for the people of Islamabad.
