In the line with the energy conversation plan approved by the federal cabinet, Information Technology (IT) ministry has implemented a ‘one room, one light’ formula.
A notification has been issued regarding the implementation of the policy in the IT ministry. IT Minister Ameenul Haq in his statement said that all the departments working under the IT ministry are bound to comply with the orders.
He added that the use of excess electricity, without the level, is a waste of foreign reserves.
Traders reject govt’s decision to close markets at 8:30 pm
It needs to be noted that the federal cabinet approved the energy conservation plan, according to which all markets will close at 8:30 p.m. and wedding halls by 10:00 p.m., as announced by Minister Of defense Khawaja Asif.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif announced the decision at a news conference while surrounded by Ministers Sherry Rehman, Khurrum Dastgir, and Marriyum Aurangzeb. “All markets and shopping malls will close by 8:30 p.m., and wedding halls will close at 10:00 p.m. throughout the country.
Khawaja Asif, speaking to the media after a cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the helm, announced that the strategy for energy conservation will enable Pakistan to save between 8,000 and 9,000 megawatts of electricity and Rs62 billion annually.
