Japan has approved a mango exports facility for Pakistan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood announced on Friday.
The advisor took it to the twitter that the Roomi Foods Vapour heat treatment plant for the export of mangoes from Pakistan has been approved by the Japanese authorities.
“I congratulate them for this and commend the facilitation provided by Department of Plant Protection of Pakistan and Trade Counsel Tokyo Japan,” he wrote.
He further said that this is the only facility in Pakistan that is equipped to process mangoes as per the quarantine requirements of the Japanese government.
The approval by Japan comes days after Australia approved two of Pakistan’s mango processing facilities – Mustafa Agriculture Farm and Iftekhar Ahmed & Co in Sindh – for exports. The facilities had been approved by the Australian Department of Water, Agriculture and Environment.
