In a significant move at the Asian Parliamentarians’ Forum on Population and Development held in Islamabad, Japan has pledged to fund three crucial climate change projects in Pakistan. This commitment was announced through the Islamabad Declaration, issued in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The Japanese Minister of State also assured further support in helping Pakistan secure additional funding from the World Bank to mitigate climate-related disasters.
Additionally, the Forum expressed its willingness to grant Pakistan a seat on its Executive Council, reflecting SIFC’s success in enhancing Pakistan’s global standing.
