The Kake Educational Institution in Okayama, Japan, organized a Japanese Language Speech Contest in Pakistan as part of its global initiative held in over 12 countries at 15 locations. The event, supported by the Embassy of Japan, saw participation from 41 students nationwide.
The contest included Pakistani students, foreign diplomats, and candidates interested in the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program.
The top three winners received cash prizes of 30,000, 20,000, and 10,000 Japanese yen, along with scholarships to study at any Kake University in Japan.
Ch Hamid Latif Advocate, Director of the Kake International Exchange Office in Pakistan, emphasized that the scholarships offered by the Kake Group provide an excellent opportunity for youth to study in Japan, aiming to enhance their futures.
“Every language has its own background, reflecting national character. Japanese is one of the most polite and romantic languages, with words and phrases that show consideration for others,” he stated.
He noted a growing interest among Pakistani students in Japanese universities. While the overall number of applicants remains low, those who do enroll receive high-quality education in Japan.
