The government will soon introduce reforms in the judicial system.
Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Dr. Farogh Naseem said in an interview with a private news channel.
Minister urged all bar councils and associations to support new law reforms for public interests.
He also said use of modern technology and reforms in laws will help provide speedy justice to masses.
Earlier, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar has said that the opposition parties should also support the government on judicial reforms.
Governor Punjab was speaking during oath-taking ceremony of Sangla Hill Bar Association at the Governor’s House.
He said that the government wishes to take the opposition along on judicial reforms. It can only happen if the opposition parties are cooperative on the issue.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar added that the societies do not prosper in the absence of justice.
He informed that the reforms were necessary to make Pakistan the state envisioned by founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and poet of the East Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal.
He stated the lawyers have a significant role in delivering justice to the masses. Governor added that the government initiatives to reform the institutions are unprecedented. Furthermore, He said the rule of law and constitution is top priority of the government.
The government has been pursuing a policy of establishing rule of law in the country from the day one and it wishes to ensure transparency and merit by eradicating political interference in the institutions, adding that a strong and prosperous Pakistan is the foremost goal of PTI government.
Moreover, He said the international organisations hail the measures taken by the PTI government to bolster the economy.
The Governor Punjab said general elections will be held in 2023. He added that their ally political parties are on the same page.
