K-Electric launches digital stamp on e-bills
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterLinkedinWhatsapp

K-Electric has taken another innovative step towards moving to a paperless ecosystem, by introducing digital stamps for customer bills. This will allow customers to maintain digital proof of payment of KE bills, with the record accessible from KE Live App, Website, and WhatsApp Self-Service Portal.

This step furthers K-Electric’s moves toward realizing its eco-friendly “Hara Qadam” project and its goal of providing customers with a smooth and enhanced digitally linked experience. A green stamp in the upper left corner of paid bills for any month indicates that all outstanding debts have been settled. A blue stamp will appear in the top left corner of the page if a customer is paying off their debt in installments, signifying that the current payments have been received.

Following the corresponding payments, these stamps will be immediately updated on the bill within 24 hours. KE’s digital outlets will also provide access to earlier records for up to six months. In addition, those stakeholders that require the consumer to provide proof of payment for any financial transactions will accept these digitally stamped bills.

Imran Rana, a spokesperson for KE and director of communications, elaborated on the effort, saying, “We understand that traditionally, consumers would preserve stamped copies of their bills in folders to maintain records. Today, with over 1 million customers linked to the internet, we are witnessing a dramatic shift in the trend, with an estimated 62% of our total payments coming via alternative delivery channels. Our creative approach is a method to speed up this change while also benefiting the environment by promoting paperless solutions.

K-Electric has pledged to employ technology to enhance customer service ever since privatization. A growing customer base across 7 geographies is now receiving safe, dependable, secure, and uninterrupted power thanks to network investments. Through its various touch points, such as social media, the KE Live App, the WhatsApp Self Service Portal (03480000118), and call center 118, the company is also available to assist customers with their needs around-the-clock.
