Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today to demonstrate the unwavering support of the Pakistani nation for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people, seeking their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.
As per a press release from the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, comprehensive arrangements have been made to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day both domestically and internationally in a fitting manner.
Solidarity walks are scheduled across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with Islamabad hosting a rally on Constitution Avenue to express support for the Kashmiri people.
A one-minute silence will be observed at 9:30 am to honor the martyrs of Kashmir, while posters and billboards have been displayed at key avenues, airports, and railway stations to raise awareness about the plight of the Kashmiri people.
In connection with the day, educational institutions are organizing debate and declamation contests, as well as essay writing competitions. Radio Pakistan is broadcasting a special program to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
President Dr. Arif Alvi, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, and the Chiefs of the Armed Forces have affirmed that Pakistan will continue to provide unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for a just solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
