Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over are observing Black Day on Thursday to convey a strong message to the world that they reject the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir, which India has illegally seized, are observing the day with a complete shutdown and civil curfew.
Protest marches, rallies, and conferences are being held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and other countries to denounce the Indian Army’s invasion of the region on October 27, 1947, as well as the fascist Indian government led by Narendra Modi’s revocation of the special status of occupied Kashmir on August 5, 2019.
Incarcerated Kashmiri leader Altaf Shah embraces martyrdom: In a statement issued in Srinagar, the APHC urged the people of Kashmir to show the rest of the world that they would not stop fighting until Jammu and Kashmir were freed from Indian rule.
On October 27, 1947, Indian troops violently attacked Jammu and Kashmir and illegally occupied it against the will of the Kashmiri people, thus violating the letter and the spirit of the Subcontinental Partition Plan.
