Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is set to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today (Wednesday) to discuss the replacement of Chief Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chaudhry.
Sources familiar with the matter have indicated that Gandapur, who did not attend the PM’s swearing-in ceremony, will meet with PM Shehbaz Sharif this evening to address the appointment of a new chief secretary.
In a summary forwarded to the Shehbaz Sharif-led government on Tuesday, the KP CM requested the removal of Chief Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chaudhry and proposed the appointment of Shahab Ali Shah as his replacement. Gandapur believes that Shahab Ali Shah’s appointment will bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to the role, ultimately contributing to the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This decision reflects Gandapur’s dedication to ensuring effective governance and administration in the province.
In addition to discussing the chief secretary’s appointment, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also decided to address the issue of the province’s outstanding finances owed by the federal government. In a meeting chaired by KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, financial matters concerning the province’s dealings with the federal government were deliberated upon.
The chief minister instructed relevant officials to formulate a plan of action to raise this issue with the federal government.
