The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated more than 47 billion rupees for the rehabilitation and construction of highways in the province.
A spokesman for the Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority said that about 10 billion rupees have been allocated for the dualisation of the Bannu-Miran Shah-Ghulam Khan road to expedite trade activities in the area.
Similarly, Rs. 2.3 billion have been earmarked for the improvement of the Krappa-Shakardara road while Rs. 7 billion have been earmarked for roads in Dir district.
The spokesman said that Rs. 3.5 billion will be spent on the Havelian-Damthor bypass road in Abbottabad.
