The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the World Bank for the construction of the first-ever science museum in the province.
The signing ceremony was held at Chief Minister’s Office which was attended by KP CM Mahmood Khan and Provincial Minister for Science and Technology and Information Technology Mohammad Atif Khan.
According to MoU, the science museum would be set up in the Mardan district.
At the ceremony, the minister announced that the museum project would cost approximately Rs500 million. Atif Khan went on to say that the development of nations is connected to achievements in science and technology.
Earlier this month, the KP cabinet approved the acquisition of land on lease for the purpose of setting up a science museum in Mardan.
