For the new progressive development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the government has announced a new scholarships program for its madrassa students.
According to the official reports, the program is being designed with the same administrative objectives as the Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Scholarship program.
The decision to launch the new scholarship program was made in a meeting of the Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department, with Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan in the chair. Addressing the attendees, the CM urged the concerned officials to prepare a launch as early as possible.
The participants of the meeting discussed issues about the amendments to the KP Waqf Properties Ordinance (1979). In this regard, the CM directed them to present the amendments to the provincial Cabinet when completed. In his opinion, the government aims to improve the management of the Waqf properties with value-added efficiency in the long run.
