The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has made significant decisions to enhance the amenities and aesthetics of Peshawar, the capital city of the province.
During a meeting chaired by CM Gandapur to discuss the beautification of Peshawar, it was decided to introduce free WiFi services in public parks across the city. CM Gandapur instructed the relevant authorities to finalize the plans for this initiative and seek approval from the provincial government. Additionally, he announced intentions to extend this service to other cities in subsequent phases.
To further improve transportation facilities, the meeting approved the initiation of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service on Nasir Bagh Road within Peshawar. CM Gandapur emphasized the conversion of street lights to solar power and advocated for the construction of underpasses instead of overhead bridges to enhance traffic flow.
Addressing infrastructure concerns, CM Gandapur directed immediate action for the completion of the remaining portion of Warsak-Nasir Bagh Road and instructed repair works along the BRT Corridor at University Road.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted plans to adorn the city with artificial plants along pathways, while also incorporating cultural designs on walls and head bridges to showcase the rich heritage of KP. CM Gandapur stressed the importance of collaboration with private organizations to execute these endeavors effectively.
