Maliha Ali, a student at Lahore Garrison University, achieved a major milestone by securing a bronze medal at KASAD’s 6th Asian Taekwondo Championship, held in Tangerang, Indonesia.
Competing in the 73kg weight category, Maliha showcased her exceptional skills, standing out against top athletes from over 275 countries, including India, Uzbekistan, and Malaysia. The event, hosted at the Indore Stadium Sports Center, saw fierce competition, making her achievement a testament to the growing strength of Pakistan’s athletes on the international stage.
Hailing from Hunza Valley, Maliha is one of the Gilgit Baltistan students studying at Lahore Garrison University on a scholarship. Her victory not only highlights her personal dedication but also serves as an inspiration to young athletes across the country.
Pakistan’s 16-member squad, led by Lieutenant Colonel Zeeshan Aslam and coached by Master Yusuf Karami, underwent extensive preparation for the championship, further ensuring the team’s strong performance.
