Retracting its earlier order to close markets and restaurants at 10 pm owing to smog, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has now allowed restaurants to operate till 11 pm.
The written order of the preceding hearing in the smog case was issued by Justice Shahid Karim.
The court also allowed home delivery service until 12:30 am in its revised order. The LHC also instructed the traffic police to provide contact information for complaints about traffic jams.
During the previous hearing, the LHC ruled that markets and restaurants must close every day at 10 p.m. except on weekends when they can stay open until 11 p.m.
The court, however, put off the suggestion seeking the closure of markets on Sunday.
