On Friday, The public authority declared lockdown in 24 regions, including the government capital, where all private and public instructive organizations were shut for seven days as the continuous fourth influx of Covid pandemic strengthened.
The decision to force lockdown in 15 areas of Punjab, 8 of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) for the following week was taken in a gathering of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) held at the Prime Minister House.
Following the gathering, the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PERA) and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) gave separate notices declaring that all instructive organizations in Islamabad would stay shut from September 6 to September 11.
