On Thursday, Surgeon General of the Pakistan Army Lieutenant General Nigar Johar traveled to Balochistan and Sindh’s flood-affected regions.
The Surgeon General visited several field medical camps established up by the Pakistan Army at Naseerabad and Dera Murad Jamali in Balochistan, according to a statement released by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In addition, Lieutenant General Nigar Johar visited a number of field medical camps in Dadu, Chhoor, Badin, and Hyderabad in Sindh, according to an ISPR release.
When speaking, Lt Gen Nagar Johar noted that the floods had a particularly negative impact on women and newborn children. She requested that food be made available to children and expectant mothers by the workers at the medical camps. She also gave the doctors instructions to vaccine the cholera and typhoid victims.
