Meet 9-year-old content creator Lama Ahmed Abu Jamous from Gaza, who stands resilient among numerous brave individuals who have emerged as journalists in the war-ravaged Strip since October 7.
Boasting over 600,000 followers on Instagram, Lama has rapidly become the face of Palestinian children, providing them with a platform to express their grievances amid the ongoing conflict.
In an interview posted on the GazaNewsLive Instagram account, she stated, “The world should hear the children of Palestine’s voices: tortured, starved, dehydrated, displaced. And despite everything they’ve been through, their spirit is remarkable.”
This young reporter, fluent in Arabic, seized a cellphone in the early days of the war and, with encouragement from her family, began actively reporting from the ground. Forced to flee her home due to Israeli airstrikes, Lama initially sought refuge in Khan Younis and was later displaced to Rafah.
