Sajjad Khan, a Karachi-born alumnus of the NED University of Engineering and Technology, will oversee Mercedes-transition Benz to the electric vehicle (EV) market.

Sajjad Khan is a computer scientist with a degree from Germany. He also holds a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology with a specialty in Product Engineering, according to his Daimler profile.
Khan joined DaimlerChrysler AG in 2001 and worked on the development of the company’s automotive infotainment systems before being transferred to the Materials Purchasing department in 2004 to oversee the purchase of electric vehicle components.
In 2007, he left Daimler Chrysler to join MAGNA International.
Khan became Executive Vice President of BMW Group AG in 2011 and oversaw the development of BMW’s ConnectedDrive Worldwide technology.
Following his appointment as Vice President of Digital Vehicle and Mobility in the spring of 2015, he became an essential member of Daimler AG.
Mercedes-Benz is ready for entrance into the EV market very soon furthermore, it plans to introduce 10 EQ models in the market.
