Microsoft has flung themselves into launching an initiative of the teaching of digital work for 25 million people. This initiative is for the people all around the world and most importantly free of cost. The world has immersed into an advanced digital age; they need to cope up with technologies as well.
The United State based Tech Giant ‘Microsoft’ quoted that the act will be supported by cash grants worth of $20 Million. These would be initially for the non-profit organizations along with the developer’s dedicated platform GitHub and LinkedIn.
“One of the key steps needed to foster a safe and successful economic recovery is expanded access to the digital skills needed to fill new jobs,”
Microsoft President Brad Smith said in a blog post.
Furthermore, he quoted that the people hit hardest by job losses need to have digital skills along with the programs that provide such measures. He said that the affected people by job losses are the ones with lower incomes, women and underrepresented minorities. These people will be served by the society centred nonprofit organizations.
“This initiative will bring together every part of our company,”
Brad Smith
“At its heart, this is a comprehensive technology initiative that will build on data and digital technology.” The coronavirus crisis has taken a much heavier toll on jobs than previously feared, the UN said on Tuesday, warning that the situation in the Americas was particularly dire.
He quoted that at the moment of truth this is a far-reaching technology measure that will build through digital technology. COVID-19 has taken a much hefty toll on the economy and the jobs than previously expected. However, this certain initiative will bring some sense of hope among the people.
