Murtaza Javed Abbasi, the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, on Tuesday announced a Rs 300 million grant for the rehabilitation of the Karakoram Highway (KKH) between Haripur and Abbottabad.
The Federal Minister announced while speaking to the media during his visit to Havelian and Ayub Bridge.
KKH and GT roads are also seriously damaged, according to Murtaza Javed Abbassi.
Our government has provided a sum of Rs. 30 crores to the National Highway Authority (NHA), which would carry out repairs from Haripur to Abbottabad, he added.
The federal minister urged NHA officials to speed up the Ayub Bridge repair work.
Murtaza Javed Abbasi stated that the diversion of traffic from Ayub Bridge to a small bridge in Langara, which is likewise a threat to heavy traffic, has had a significant impact on the residents of Havelian, particularly Union Council Langara.
Despite being in opposition for the last year, the federal minister stated, “we raised the issue of Ayub Bridge, and now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the chairman NHA to restore the bridge immediately.”
