President Arif Alvi swore in members of newly appointed interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s cabinet on Thursday.
The ritual began with the reciting of the Holy Quran at Islamabad’s President’s House.
18 cabinet members were sworn in, according to Radio Pakistan.
Murtaza Solangi, Dr. Umar Saif, Sarfraz Bugti, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, Gohar Ijaz, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Jamal Shah, Dr. Nadeem Jan, Aneeq Ahmed, Muhammad Sami, Ahmed Irfan, and Anwar Ali Haider were among those who took the oath.
Today’s inauguration comes just days after Kakar was sworn in as caretaker premier after weeks of deliberation.
