On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announced that Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman, has been designated as the vice-captain for the national T20I team.
Rizwan’s initial responsibility in this new role will be serving as the deputy to Shaheen Afridi during the forthcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
The series is scheduled to take place from January 12 to January 21, with matches set to be held in Auckland, Hamilton, Dunedin, and Christchurch.
Earlier today, the Pakistan cricket team arrived in Auckland from Sydney in preparation for their upcoming series against New Zealand. The Men in Green are set to commence their training sessions tomorrow.
It’s worth noting that Pakistan recently faced a challenging 3-0 defeat at the hands of Australia in a Test series down under.
